'The Simpsons' are nailing social media this week | @
This is true about the Simpsons (Yellow King, Ellen selfie & the Sylvain Chomet couch gag)… and Arsenio has owned TV buzz this week with the Prince takeover and surprise Kanye appearance.
I hate those “what year is it again?” jokes, but I gotta admit that’s exactly what did cross my mind.
“‘Shit Shots Count’ boasts a grimy, ‘Tumbling Dice’-indebted bar band groove…”
I find that interesting just because I listened to the album last night and when I heard “Til He’s Dead or Rises” it struck me as obvious that they were going for an “Exile on Main Street” vibe. Like a million other bands have done, too, I suppose.

If you haven’t seen Future Islands’
Letterman performance, you really, really should. —Lars
Haven’t heard one note of this song and this makes me not want to.
On the humorous side, it does look like it could be Greg Gaffin of Bad Religion mocking Springsteen’s “Dancing In The Dark” video.

Choreographed dance moves, disco lighting — it’s the new music video for
HAIM's “If I Could Change Your Mind” and now I want that gold jacket. —Lars
i think if this was HAIM’s first video they never would have been taken seriously, but now that they’re somewhat established i think this works really well. cuteness abounds.

ordered new glasses over the weekend.
getting to the point of picking out THE pair is so traumatic. like, when you see a pair of frames you want to try on, your brain convinces you that you’re going to look like this:
but the mirror says sorry, bro! you look more like this:
or even more frequently (in my case, anyway) this:
holy cow, you guys.

Billion Dollar Idea
there is a giant void somewhere between the slouchy “franchise” cap
and the jumbo crowned “59fifty” cap
why don’t they make something in between them any more?
once upon a time it used to be the norm.
whoever fills the void and brings them back (and, of course, signs contracts with the NFL, NBA, MLB etc,) is going to be very, very rich.
they should call it norm’s cap co.
